I would LOVE to see a reality show where all the participants, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, are given swift and effective instruction in the arts of house maintenance, cleaning and home improvements, clothes making, washing, ironing, and maintenance, and basic sensible cookery and food preparation.

I’m astonished at the number of people I meet nowadays who haven’t the faintest idea how to throw together a nutritious meal, sew on a button, or fix a blown fuse. These are things that ALL adults should know how to do.

I know summer TV sucks!

Seems like the reality show producers are starting to try new stuff online though. I heard Burnett is going to do an online show with AOL, and yesterday I saw a trailer on TV for a ‘husband-boot-camp’ type reality show online starting next month. It’s from Brawny towles, but it’s a real show by the sounds… http://www.brawnyacademy.com. I think I know some guys that should be sent on this!

I don't. There's a difference between having multiple sex partners as such, and polyamory - polyamory is more about RELATIONSHIPS than just sex. You hit the nail on hte head when you said "when you have more than one love object in your life". Exactly. If you're (and I use the term "you're" in general, not referring to you specifically) just sleeping around for the sake of being a slut, that's different.

And I'm sure there's a support group for that as well, lol.
For lack of an “Educational” icon…

Well, when I say 'we' I mean the daughters... I have completely no interest in reality shows. I watched the ice dancing competition with Bonnie Langford in it because it was amusing to see these 'celebrities' galumphing about, trying to ice dance, and teeny little Bonnie being flung around in one lift after another by her nice partner, her dainty wee skates just touching down on ice now and then...

But for the most part, there's enough drama and stuff going on around here without the need for any more.
Polyamory is kinda making it official, and everyone in the situation knows about everyone else… and giving it a fancy name does make it seem much more important, valid and significant than just having more than one partner at a time.
