I've listened to a lifetime of blond jokes and never let them bother me, but I have to admit I'm vain enough to not like it when someone tells me something makes me look older. Then I had someone color my hair and they covered up all the gray (by mistake). I have had a million compliments. I think I am back to black. At least for a while. Like you, I have a black streak but the white is coming in on all sides and halfway down my hair (which is a little below my shoulder). I am mostly okay with it but sometimes I'm startled when I realize that silver-haired woman is me! My husband has very minimal gray. My mom says she's going to take my lead and stop coloring her hair but I'll believe that when I see it. I do plan to get a red wig to wear sometimes because I've always wanted to be a redhead but not willing to make the investment it would take to do so by coloring. You look fabulous and stylish. At 50 it made me unhappy and unsure of who this new person was. Then my life turned upside down. Strangely, it was the chaos that allowed me to reorder myself and grow when I felt I was shrinking. Those gorgeous eyes of yours show an even greater depth and an even stronger light than before. More at ease all together. I don’t know if its your hair, or what you’ve been through but you look softer. More at ease all together.
