Oh yeah, I’ve only been in A & F and similiar stores for as long as it took to buy a gift card for my granddaughter. Although I admit in one of them to buying some cologne for my husband…..it was nice and he liked it, too. I can dream can’t I?

Obviously I agree. It’s creator should win the marketing equivalent of a Nobel Peace Prize for recognizing the desire for teenagers to feel cool in their clothes and giving them the venue in malls that makes parents want to pay hastily. Better yet, just send the kids in with the credit card.

It is perfectly clear that the shop is irresitable to teens, desirable to the young, and intolerable to anyone over 25. It is equally clear that no one under 25 can afford a single item.

Turns out the sound level is just tolerable enough for us to remember how to enter our PINs or sign our names, much too disctracting for calculating budgets, bank balances and the total cost of the flimsy rags our kids have piled into our arms.

Good job. Whoever did the necessary research ought to be congratulated and then strung up.
