And lucky me winning the earrings. Fabulous. And a big big thank-you! You can see my e-mail address from my comments. I can't find a mail address for you on this site and I'd rather not leave my address here for all to see, if that's OK. I'd really appreciate it if you could mail me privately so that I can reply and send you my address. If you mail me via the Reply button though, I get an automatic mail and can't reply. Once again, thank you ever so much. And thanks to the Fifty Factor for sending me here! @byjane,

Many beautiful pairs were found and worn and loved - well over 600 pairs, in fact! And yet - isn't 600 the loneliest number? Even in that crowd, they felt lonely, as if part of their lives was still missing. But then - one day - they, those delicate mother-of-pearl earlobes, came across the most delightful pair of Mr. Rights... They are right here on this site. And now, my lobes can do nothing but gaze at the Mr. Right earrings, and sigh, and gaze, and long. Oh, the pain of love! My lobes, my lobes. Well, way back when I decided to pierce my own ears. Only thing was I located the hole smack in the middle of my lobes. Of course everybody else snickered as those in the know had them much lower. Just to let me know how out I was they decided that in the 80's there would be gimungo earrings. These were earrings that did not sit well in misplaced holes. Woe was me. Time passed. Enter the 21st century. Enter the 50's (mine, not the 2050's). While my contemporaries wear earrings dangling on the smallest sliver of earlobe nearly grazing their shoulders my own are sitting pertly (the only pert thing I've ever had) right where they belong. After all these years I have come to realize that I was simply thinking ahead. Oh yeah, gravity sucks! Joanna made me come over here.

My older sister was never a fan of mine but when I asked her, at age 14, to pierce my ears she gladly accepted the challenge. Little did I know that close to 40 years later my sister's "mark" would still be a pain in my, um, ear. You see, my sister pierced my earlobes so lopsided that I actually needed to add a second piercing to each ear just to even things out! Back in the 1970s double ear piercings were all the rage in my middle school, but, and this is a big but, my parents forbid it. So, I bit the bullet, accepted the month long grounding as punishment and had my earlobe pierced twice. Thanks to you and Sarah for a great giveaway! jj “Unfortunate” is the best way to describe my earlobes but your earrings would give them a lovely boost.

Which is a good thing because sparkly earrings draw the eye away from the wrinkles on my neck! But now I have to tell a story about my earlobes? Crumbs, you drive a hard bargain... Will the genetics of attached and non attached earlobes do? Because that really is absolutely the only ear lobe factoid I have to offer. If you want to make it personal, my mother has attached earlobes and I didn't inherit them and she is more popular than I am, and I think my unattached earlobes need some compensation. Or something. Honest, I am not making it up. Google attached earlobes. And then put those lovely earrings in the post to me. Art meets science. What more can you want? Well, my lovely. unattached lobes want those sparkly things. Well, yes, yes, yes, yes.
