I am about to travel to the forsaken or boycotted State of Arizona in a curious state of naivete. With sights set on the Grand Canyon, I have not considered the peripheral danger that currently surfaces in the news and hope to avoid an anxious husband shortening our stay. I've been advised to pack heat. And considering our tenting experience it seems like a good idea. Can it really be THAT bad? Do I take on the Minuteman mentality? hmm, maybe I should find my own citizenship papers?
