Hello–Remember me? An apologia, of sorts

A ByJane Post

It’s been so long since I posted that when WordPress asked for my screenname and password, I couldn’t remember them.  It’s been so long since I posted that BlogHer has removed their ads from my site.  When they informed me that they had done so, I got all huffy and went to my calendar to count up the days.  Two weeks without a new post on MidLifeBloggers–my my my, haven’t we all been missing us.  And haven’t I been remiss…

Not really.  All–make that ALL–of my attention these days is focused on trying to find gainful employment, to keep the wolf from the door, and the sheep in the meadow (yes, I just made that up and I have no idea what it means).  And then, of course, there was that small matter of that BIG birthday.  And the even smaller matter of the ex-husband asking to board his 75# dog with me.  Such trivial things to get upset about.  Why on earth did I go through two weeks when all I wanted was to pull the covers over my head?

So my apologies and many mea culpas to whoever might have suffered from MidLifeBloggers not posting for two weeks.  I pinkie promise not to disappear again.  And–you may be seeing a somewhat different MidLifeBloggers in the future.  Or not.  Things are perking and I’m not sure where they’ll go.

But you will certainly be the first to know…

    I was actually starting to get worried about you! I’m relieved you’re back and I don’t care what direction you take us in! I’ll hang on for the ride and enjoy it, I’m sure.

      @Barbara,
      I’m feeling more energetic about the “ride” I’m providing. I got burnt-out there for a while. And then there was That Birthday…

    Sorry, I only talk that way when I am in my cups, honest.

    No apologies needed, life has its ups and downs! Glad you’re ok.

    Who could forget you? We await whatever iteration of Midlife Bloggers comes next.

      Don’t you just love that word iteration. That and quotidian are my new favorites.

    Hope this doesn’t mean the wolf and sheep will keep you away from BlogHer. Was looking forward to seeing you—hopefully not when you’re all huffy.
    Either way, welcome back.

      @Darryle,
      We’ll have to make our own arrangements for a west coast meeting; I sold my BlogHer ticket about six weeks ago. Still have one available for the cocktail parties if you know anyone who needs one.
