@byjane, Missed a step and feet went down on step, under me.. Painful, sprains on both feet, lots of scraps and bruises.. I’m recovering nicely but worrying about whether my shoes will fit when I finally get to wear a shoe and walk again… whenever that is!!

I wondered where you were. How did you break your foot?

Re Target–I linked to the story in my post. Have you noticed a difference in their stores since they did the big remodel? Or was that only on this Coast? They seem more Walmart-ish now.

Let me know what you think of TKAAR–I’m curious.

Sunsuits–yikes! I haven’t thought about them in ages. ANd when I do, I think of the last one I had, a bloomer type affair, that I took to summer camp. I grew. It’s didn’t (of course), and man, was that thing short in the crotch on the trip home.

BTW, I love that you call your mother Mommy. My sister and I called our mom that–when we weren’t using her first name. People thought we were weird.

So very sorry about the ribs. I’m nursing 2 broken bones in foot and no weight-bearing, 3 weeks as of Weds., it’s a bitch! We could have a pity-party together.. except I’m on the other coast.

Lovely rant, and all very sensible. Does the Target thing mean I have to cut up my card? Didn’t hear the story so research needed.

I’ve been burying myself in NCIS and CSI reruns… never seen the Housewives shows.. might drive me nuts! And I’m sad to hear the bad reviews of The Kids Are All Right as I was looking forward to it.

Jane- sorry to hear about the ribs- that can be brutal ;-( never realize how much we need all these body parts until one goes downhill! soft hugs your way
Hotter than hades here- with heat index 115- stay in my sun suits (affectionate term my mommy and I made up years ago for some cool outfit we could chuckle about that would make a difference-NOT)

I can’t believe that it’s our ‘straightness’ that made Paul more sympathetic. I think there were some underlying flaws in the script and/or the directing.

I sense that you and I have a similar sensibility for ranting. I used to share an office with a close friend who is also a ranter, and I miss her. It is a fine art, you know; not just anyone can rant–or rant effectively, with meaning and with zest. We should meet regularly to indulge our talents, don’t you think?
