We'd be more relaxed, we'd probably be more creative and I'm sure we'd be happier. When I was a kid I used to go to sleep at night and make up the dreams I wanted to have. It was basically daydreaming while I was in bed and it often helped me go to sleep. I haven't done it in years because now I watch tv in bed until I fall asleep which is on purpose because I don't want my mind to stray because I really want to just fall asleep. I should turn off the tv. Thanks for reminding me of the wonder that is our imagination. Guided imagery is indeed a powerful and humbling experience and feels, to me, like a blending of psychological awakening and spiritual experience. I have found that the "still, small voice" sometimes shows up in other ways than words - images, sensations, intuitions, emotional responses, all of which are creative, imaginative experiences. I've been doing GIM w/ a therapist, usually combined with music...it is truly amazing. I've had experiences that I would never have believed possible. Thanks for sharing this discovery. I love what you do 'with' your books. It's the very reason I will never go to electronic books.
