Wednesday Writers Workshop: Real Time Real Life Blogging Seminar

The Sacramento Library has a new venture: the I Street Press Community Writing & Publishing Center.  As part of their Writing & Publishing program, I’ll be teaching the class on blogging.

It’s a two-day seminar that takes place in a computer classroom, so all the students can be interactive.  I’m really excited about putting together the best of what I’ve learned over the almost eight years that I’ve been blogging as well as my experience in social media and years of teaching writing.

For full details, visit the website at www.saclibrary.org/istreet, where you can also download a PDF of the winter classes catalog (direct link for that ishttp://www.saclibrary.org/file/643.pdf).

Something very exciting to note: There will be one free workstudy scholarship available in every class that runs. Details and application info are on page 12 of the catalog, linked above.

Hope to see some of you there!

Sounds like great fun. I’ve taught a few 2 hour classes to nonprofit directors on using blogging as a marketing tool. It was lots of fun. Sorry I can’t just pop in and learn from one of the pros!
