I am 78 and bought senior coffee at 3 locations lately, one was 54 cents, one was 60 cents and one was 69 cents. How come the price so different for the same McDonald’s?

It’s not that bad, and you will get used to it. It took me a while to train myself to ask for the discounts, which are some small (very small) consolation. The good news is that every now and then somebody guesses your age way too low. Or maybe they’re just playing it safe. I’m going with the first one. It’s so much nicer to think I look ten years younger than I am.

Hasn’t happened for me yet, but it’s just a matter of time. I remember the first time hubby was offered the senior discount on tickets to the home show, the look on his face was priceless!

Hasn’t happened to me yet but I suspect the day is coming. I know my teens think I’m old and are already picking out my old age home I keep telling them the classic: “I’ve spent your inheritance”.

This getting old thing is a daily adventure. Some days I wonder who’s staring back at me in the mirror. That’s ME? Teaching now tires me out more than it ever did – as in EXHAUSTED by day’s end – but those 5th graders keep me young too. Keep laughing and having fun – and thanks for the smile with my coffee this morning!
