WRITERS BLOCK

I’ve deliberately structured the Workshop so that it is fluid enough to meet the needs of a variety of writers of all stages and genres, because I know that good writing is good writing, no matter the genre. That fluidity will also enable us to accommodate each other’s time constraints, not to mention different time zones.

Here’s how it will work:

Our primary communication will be on Google Drive, which is a free word-processing program that enables not only private sharing of documents, but commenting as well. I hope we can have a healthy give and take within Drive, which will allow us to have the kind of discussions that make for the best of writers workshops. This will be the central part of the workshop, which you can access any time that works for you from any platform (Drive works on smart phones and tablets). The face-to-face portion of the Workshop, which will be occasional small groups and scheduled one-on-one sessions with me will take place in real time via Google Hangouts. Here too the small size of the workshop should allow us to accommodate everyone’s needs and some of the Hangouts will also be available for viewing later on YouTube.

Hello Jane, I’ve tried to pay via your Paypal link, but it’s not working. Help?

Hi Rhonda…I just tested the Paypal button and it worked for me. What are you getting when you click on the Buy Now?

      • Rhonda Strong

I get something like “This card cannot be used for payment. Please use another card.” I tried two cards, then called my credit card company to make sure that there was no problem on that end, and there was none. Ideas?

          Rhonda,
I’ve done a brief search and it seems to me that the issue probably is that you don’t have your own Paypal account. Paypal allows international payments (and I’ve received them) but the sender/payer has to have a Paypal account. The ability to use a credit card on Paypal without a Paypal account is restricted to the country in which the payee lives, in this case the US.

            Hello Jane,
Well, after grappling with the Paypal website for a few hours without success, and then hearing that the government has shut down and my paycheck will be delayed indefinitely, I’m going to have to take a raincheck on this session. Perhaps the next one? I’m sorry.

Jane, your link to PayPal is not working correctly. I am SO excited about this class starting.
