If you’ve spent any time in England, you know what these are: McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestives. When I lived there, I was addicted to them. I could get a whole one at a time in my mouth and let it melt into wondrous chocolately crumbly nothingness. And then I would put another whole one in my mouth.
I kicked the habit when I moved back to the States and my digestion was probably a lot better off for not having to deal with enormous amounts of Digestives. Yes, I see the irony of cookies with that kind of fat content being called “digestives”, but that’s the Brits for you.
Then….the other day….I happened upon a Fresh & Easy Market and there lurking on a shelf was this resealable tube of the dope. Forgive me, but I bought it. And brought it home. And I promise I’m only having one at a time. Today. Or right now.
In other news, I am in the process of defining what this new iteration of MidLifeBloggers, this Beyond MidLifeBloggers: The Other Side of Sixty actually is. People want to know. Enquiring minds, not to mention advertisers. Go figure.
