Bits & Pieces: Summer Flowers, Lauren on WIGS, Skin Care Regimens
Here’s what’s in my garden: lots of roses, a pot of African daisies, and all the greenery of multiple plantings when the garden was first put in. I don’t know what most of them are. Okay, I’m cool on the peach tree and the clemantine tree and the non-fruiting Meyer lemon. Oh, and the prolific honeysuckles that cover the perimeter of the yard. I can’t say it’s a riot of color, but it suits me. Some days I go out to count the tomatoes on the HUGE sprawling vine that is taking over the area by the fountain. Some days I think–I should cut some of these flowers and greenery and bring them inside. Should I follow through on that thought, I’ll go to the site of Dawn Bryan, founder of The Qualpedia, who talks about how to pick and keep summer flowers fresh.
“Christine” has finished on the WIGS channel. The new series is “Lauren.” It’s a 3-part drama starring Jennifer Beals (“The L Word”) and Troian Bellisario (“Pretty Little Liars”) in a story that could be ripped right from the current headlines about sexual assault in the U.S. military. My skincare regimen is to search through many product lines to find the perfect under eye cream that will help me deflect those oh, so helpful comments I get daily – “You look so tired!” Would love to know if anyone has found the Holy Grail here.
