Wonder where I’ve been? Why I haven’t kept up with my posting schedule? Why my Klout score–oh, no!–dropped a point this week?
- Thursday I forked out lotsa dollas for someone to come and clean my toilets. My late friend, Sondy, used to characterize me as spoiled because I didn’t share her zest (nay, lust) for deep cleaning. Be that as it may (which was also a favorite saying of Sondy’s), the cleaning required when one’s house is going on the market is–well, special. And Marianna, who did it, is very special as well. She is what D. calls “a cleaning machine.” If anyone in the Sac/Elk Grove area needs such help, email me and I’ll give you her number.
- Friday our house officially went on the market, with the Open House scheduled for Sunday.
- Friday I drove to Ojai for the Creative Alliance ’12 Conference. It was all sorts of mindblowing, stupendous awesomeness, and I’ll link to the ShePosts review when it goes up.

- Friday night D told me that people were already calling about coming to see the house. Therefore, he was in the enviable position of steam cleaning our floors.
- Sunday I got back home after the Open House had finished, so incredibly full of what the weekend had meant to me. I’ll write more about it soon…..
- Monday I was still amped up from CA ’12 and antsy from all the showing of the house.
- Tuesday our broker presented five offers. We countered.
- They countered and today we have two so-much-better-than-we-ever-thought-it-could-be offers to choose from. Fourteen agents showed the house in four days. Who says the housing market is still dead??!!
- Now we have to pack. And move.
