Pure Natural Diva Botanicals
I’ve got a really good nose. A snobby nose, you might say. I pretty much hate the contemporary perfumes that are ubiquitous on the market today. For one, I have no desire to smell the way some fashion designer or B movie starlet thinks I should.
For another, I hate the way said contemporary perfumes smell. Frankly, they reek of all the synthetic junk they put into them. The lab version of roses mixed with musk, ‘cause hey, doesn’t every girl want to smell like fake flowers…and like sex? l am obnoxious in department stores where I wave the sprayers away, and I rip out all the perfume ads before I even begin to read a magazine. The perfume I use is Bellogia by Caron, and it’s been around since the late 20s.
So last Fall when I roomed at a conference with Tania Reuben and heard that she was bringing samples of the new perfume she’s created, I knew I was in trouble. Without question, I’d have to grin and bear being daubed with whatever–all in the name of friendship, sisterhood, support.
Except–that didn’t happen. Yes, Tania daubed my wrists at the pulse points, but instead of having to fake a smile and rush to scrub it off as soon as possible, I actually liked it. A lot. And asked for redaubs throughout the weekend.
Tania is the creator of Pure Natural Diva, a site with a well-known reputation for offering simple solutions for greener, healthier living that is eco-saavy but always full of cool and style. In four years, she has built up a community that values her advice on family & parenting, beauty, fitness, food & nutrition, home, fashion. She is, as Fragrantica.com put it, “…an all-natural one-person social whirlpool…a maverick with a vision for the future.”
With Pure Natural Diva Botanicals, Tania has moved into a whole new arena. Starting with four offerings, all artisan-crafted, naturally sourced and free of synthetics, they are:
- Pure is sensually uplifting, like sunny day in a field of lemongrass. Notes include uplifting cassie, soothing chamomile, lemon, lime and an Egyptian neroli.
- Natural is fresh and inviting, imagine a picnic in a rose bordered citrus grove. Notes include a hint of clary sage, exalting pink grapefruit, Moroccan rose, and soothing ylang ylang.
- Diva is full of soul, sultry and mysterious. Notes include natural musk derived from ambrette, a sinfully smooth New Caledonian sandlewood, blended together in a lusciously robust Vanilla.
- Elixir is sensually uplifting. As delicious as a lingering morning with an ocean view. Notes include aphrodisiacal vanilla, a hint of oakmoss, exquisite osmanthus, married with rejuvenating pink grapefruit and red mandarin.
The four scents each come in perfume form as well as a Bath and Body Care line of soaps, scrubs, and lotions.
I’ve known about the Pure Natural Diva Botanicals for a couple of months now, but I’ve been saving telling you about them till now. Fact is, they make a great holiday gift. Tania has put together gift sets, in a range of prices that fit most budgets and gift-giving needs. And for those who need to try before they buy, Tania offers a sample set of the quartet of perfumes for $16.
Go check out the Pure Natural Diva Botanicals website and do some holiday shopping.
