Not to blow our own horn–okay, maybe a brief toot or two: The mission of MidLifeBloggers over the years is to bring you the best of the best, cutting edge, thoughtful, provocative, funny, wow-I-can’t-find-this-anywhere-else creative efforts by women and men who identify as being in midlife (whatever that may mean).
To that end, back in 2011, we introduced you to filmmaker, Anne Flournoy, who early saw the potential of the internet and transformed her career when she created an on-line video series called The Louise Log, a comedy about a New York City wife and mother who’s hell-bent on getting it right in spite of her crackpot relatives and her over-active inner voice.
Last year, Flournoy challenged herself even further and launched a social media marketing effort to crowd-source production costs for the third season of The Louise Log. She was, to say the least, successful, proving once again that the restrictions of age are mostly in the minds of the young.
The Louise Log, Season 3 is now on the radar of industry insiders. It’s a finalist for the Shorty Awards Best Web Series, and BuzzFeed said: “I have found a web series with the comedy trifecta: consistency, relatability [sic] and hilarity. If you love Curb Your Enthusiasm or Louie, check out The Louise Log…comedic gem in the proverbial haystack.”
Here, have a look; see what you think….
