I’m feeling better… It’s been so dreary here, what with all the rain and mudslides. Fortunately our roof didn’t leak–this year. Last year, it poured torrents and we had to have MAJOR repairs.

I’m back to liking my classes this term, which is, as Martha would say, a good thing. The Child Abuse class is fascinating. Did you know that in CA, if you slap your kid and leave a mark, it’s child abuse? If you don’t leave a mark, it’s not.

In Human Sexuality, I got to see up close living color photos of the genitalia of: a baby girl who is a pseudohermaphrodite; a male-to-female sex change; and a female-to-male sex change. The latter was a bit–how shall I put it–limp. But evidentally, you can get a rod to straighten it up a bit. Fascinating….
