Dear Stanford House…you suck

Submitted by byjane on Thursday, 30 March 20062 Comments

I got my pro forma turndown from Stanford House.  “Dear Candidate….blah, blah, blah, blah…”   I’m now trying to decide if I should be mature and just forget the whole thing, or give in to my desire to vent my displeasure.  Here’s what I would say in a vent:

Dear HR Person from Stanford House,

Thank you so much for getting back to me about the job I applied for.  I must say that the experience of the second interview left me with a very bad feeling about your organization…..

….Nope, it’s not even worth it for me to blog a response.  Their loss, nah nah nah nah nah….

I feel ya. I once got a PhD program rejection letter from Duke. In 1993, after I’d paid $60 to apply. Yeah, that was a lotta money for an impoverished state worker then…and they dumped me via a FORM letter in a WINDOW ENVELOPE. Fuckers.

    Sympathies.

I dunno, it might possibly, just POSSIBLY, jog their collective memory that they’re actually, like, dealing with HUMANS here? People who have some ridiculously persistent expectation of being treated with respect?

I hate pro forma anythings, but particularly rejections.

    Sympathy.
