Down time


Almost every day at about 3-ish, I die.  I try eating carbs, eating sweets, not eating, drinking water, drinking coffee….etc.  But still I die.  Unfortunately, 3-ish is the time most of my appts are scheduled.  Whatsa girl to do?

    Ahhhh… the Dreaded 3pm Death-slot… I struggled with that for many years. The only thing I found helped even slightly was strong mints – Altoids or something like that – but the urge to put head down and drift off for a few minutes was almost overwhelming.

    A light lunch, a walk at lunchtime in the fresh air, and scheduling a coffee-break into my day at 3pm were helpful. But I don’t know a single office worker (I’ve only ever worked in offices) who didn’t agree that around 3pm they would cheerfully have lain down on the floor under their desks just to be allowed half an hour’s kip.

    Eat a snack of protein with complex carb at about 2:30.

    Make sure you are getting enough of those things at lunch, too.
