Project Runway – Malan

Submitted by byjane on Friday, 21 July 2006One Comment

I just watched last night’s PR. I’m not going to recap or critique it. I just need to say how sad I am that Malan is out. I know people think he is creepy, and there is something a bit reptilian about him. But more than anything else on the show, each week I was taken with his incredible vulnerability. There was, for me, in his downward glances, not arrogance but great pain. When he cried at the end, when he said he felt ashamed, when he said it was the unfamiliar feeling of belonging to a group that he would miss the most–it broke my heart. I hope there is someone else out there who feels as I do, and Malan find a soft place to fall.

Poor guy. They should have booted that bitchy woman, instead (though, if you read Tim Gunn’s blog, she did try to help whatshisname, at least initially).
