Spyware Beware…

Submitted by byjane on Monday, 2 January 2006One Comment

I’ve been reading www.rebeccablood.net ‘s book The Blog Handbook. She traces the history of blogs back to a compendium of sorts of links that people published, so I felt encouraged to start surfing the web and creating links to ByJane. You’ve seen the results of my day’s worth of exploration. Then last night, my new laptop started to whistle and moan and flash and sputter. Long story short: I had a massive spyware invasion. It’s a Trojan called SPY SHERIFF. It simulates a spyware fix and it hijacked my computer and downloaded all sorts of nifty sites for blow jobs and couples porn and cigarettes and home loans. I was bold and brave, however, and did battle with it and have, I believe, conquered it.

Well done for taking on the Trojan and (hopefully) conquering it! I wouldn’t know where to start.

(thinks fondly of firewall and anti-virus protection)
